interested in plants, EVOLUTIon, Floristics, herbaria, and education
The Intermountain West is a floristically, ecologically, and topologically intriguing region of North America. Interrogating the flora of this region, especially around northern Utah, is important to recognize the current diversity and understand future changes. Students and I not only explore the region and collect plants to house in the Mary Carver Hall Herbarium at Weber State University but also employ specimens to understand shifts in our regional plants. We are particularly interested in examining the flora of the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains, which is right in our backyard.
